Stacia Robinson: Leading Voice in Communications and Entrepreneurship

From her beginnings as an Air Force Captain to her current role as the Director of the Alabama Office of Minority Affairs, Stacia Robinson’s career has been marked by her dedication to leadership and community empowerment. As the Agency Principal of BeneChoice Companies, LLC, she specializes in enhancing business and organizational development through strategies that increase employee loyalty and retention.

A proud alumna of Spelman College with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Stacia embarked on a groundbreaking journey in the Air Force as a communications-computer officer. Rapidly ascending to the rank of Captain, she transitioned from military service to a successful career in marketing and entrepreneurship. Her pioneering spirit continued to shine as she became the first African-American woman elected to the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the founding chairwoman of the Fortitude Foundation for the Montgomery Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

An active and influential member of the Montgomery community, Stacia serves on several boards including Renasant Bank, and holds positions such as the Board Chair-Elect for the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce. Her previous leadership roles include president of the Habitat for Humanity Board and Montgomery Rotary Club, Board Chair for the Central Alabama Community Foundation, and Commissioner for the 15th Judicial Court Pre-Trial Diversion Program.

Stacia’s commitment to overcoming barriers as a Black female entrepreneur has not only defined her career but also set a path for others to follow. A recognized leader and communicator, she has been honored with numerous awards and is a member of Leadership Alabama and Leadership Montgomery. Additionally, she is a Distinguished Toastmaster—the highest achievement in Toastmasters International.

Outside her professional endeavors, Stacia is a contributing author to the “Masters of Networking” and enjoys life with her husband, Toy Robinson, and their two adult children, Maurice and Jaylin.
